Active Burgess Mould & Design is committed to the continued improvement of our quality and service while reducing our cost and delivery time for all products through the achievement of our quality objectives.
Active Burgess’ commitment to quality and a continuous improvement culture is reflected in all aspects of each project, from part design to prototype and production moulds to fixture and gauge and finally the secondary and assembly equipment. Our quality technicians are trained in problem prevention and resolution methods allowing them to provide effective solutions to any project challenges.
Active takes its commitment to continuous improvement of its business systems very serious. A key component of this is ongoing training.
The majority of training provided at Active is in the form of three apprenticeship programs. These programs are: 1) General Machining, 2) Mould Design and 3) Mould Making. Certification for any one these three programs requires 8,000 hours of hands on experience in addition to attending night school for a period of three years.
Active has a strong presence within local high schools and the community college. Active
works closely with the high schools and college to continually improve the apprenticeship curriculum.
By doing so we believe we can help to improve the quality of training being delivered to new tradesmen and
encourage more interest in a career in the skilled trades.
